I have really loved using my baby wrap for the past two years and have mostly used just the holds that I have video instructions for below on this blog. However, I recently found a site with many instructional videos for holds that I had never heard of before. I thought I would share this link with you so that you will have even more variety in your baby wearing experience if you choose. Please note that the wraps in the videos are much wider than Lilly Pod Wraps so not all of the holds they show will work for your wrap. Just use your judgment and how secure you feel with each hold to determine what is right for you and your baby. Also, ALWAYS USE A SPOTTER when trying a new hold. Or tie over a very soft surface in case of accidents. This is especially important if you are attempting a back carry (Please read my not at the bottom of this blog on why my wraps are not well suited for back carries).
I wanted to share these with you because sometimes you need a special hold for different situations. For example this site has a front carry called the "Wrap Cross Carry" that I use when my child falls asleep outside of the wrap and I need to put her in without waking her. I needed another adults help to do this but it really saved my back when I had to carry her around asleep for over an hour.
The site also has instructions on how to use a wrap with twins or carrying two children at once.
Please feel free to browse this site and see if there is a new hold that will make your life easier. :)
Enjoy!
